Phillie and Teresa are lifelong friends who were at school together in Mayfield, East Sussex. They shared and continue to share a passion for all things ‘foodie’.

Phillie’s passion for food was present from an early age and was inspired by her Mum’s brilliant cooking. From the age of 7 she became obsessed with baking shortbread biscuits - that passion subsequently grew into a successful professional career.

After spending 12 amazing years cheffing at The Queen’s Club, West Kensington (including feeding members of the Royal family), Phillie spent the next 15 years in contract catering until setting up Blue Tree Kitchen (BTK) on the South Bank in 2015. The company has continued to evolve and is now based at Barnes Sports Club in SW13.

Teresa spent 9 years catering at The Queen’s Club, before spending the next 20 years at Pret-a-Manger (mostly in a managerial role). Her Mum was also a great cook whose enthusiasm hugely inspired her and Phillie’s passion for baking.
